A VISION FOR OUR TIME
Hi there !
In these changing times have you ever felt a little dated as a Christian? As if you were somehow more of the past than of the future? I once felt like that and it was a slightly fragile feeling. Where did my faith fit in with the modern world?
Then someone introduced me to the thinking of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, and I moved from a 16th century spirituality to one for the 21st century and beyond. Now I feel intellectually confident about my faith, a cosmic Christian. Merci, Père Teilhard! Jesus is actually out there in front, leading evolution forward. We just have to try and keep up, by becoming ever more conscious of our role in the universe, and by learning that love alone is the evolutionary energy that will lead the Whole to its fulfilment in Christ-Omega.

My name is Hilda Geraghty, and I live in Dublin, Ireland. I have spent much of my life teaching at secondary level. I have post-graduate qualifications in Spirituality, Catechetics and Applied Youth Ministry. I am a member of the Teresian Association, a Private International Association of the Faithful, whose mission is to evangelise through education and culture.
I’ve started this website because I would like more on-the-ground Christians to know more about Pierre Teilhard de Chardin SJ, in my view the most significant thinker of our times. Faithful to Catholic Church teaching, he nonetheless wonderfully developed it to embrace our new awareness of the awakening universe. He provides the new cosmic vision the Church needs today. I share four illustrated PowerPoints outlining his thinking, and some published articles of mine explaining why we need his vision. My hope is that you will find his whole approach as deeply inspirational as I have.
